1. You tell us what you're seeing

Describe the problem in your own words. Photos help but aren't required. It takes a couple of minutes and costs nothing.

2. We check it and route it

We work out what kind of work it is and which contractors cover your town. Before any contractor receives anything from us, we confirm their registration is active with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs and we collect a current certificate of insurance. We record the date we checked.

3. They contact you

Up to three contractors, depending on who works your area and does that type of work. If you'd rather hear from only one, say so on the form.

4. You decide

You choose who to talk to, who to get quotes from, and whether to hire anyone at all. We're not part of that conversation and we don't take a cut of the job.

What we don't do

We don't perform work. We don't supervise work. We don't inspect work. We don't hold your money, and we're not a party to any agreement you sign with a contractor. We don't guarantee any outcome, and we can't tell you what's wrong with your house — only someone who comes out and looks at it can do that.

How we're paid

Contractors pay us for job referrals. Homeowners never pay us anything. That's worth knowing so you can weigh what we say accordingly — we have an interest in you making contact with a contractor, and no interest in which one you pick or whether you hire them.
